Ice Sports Southland is Southland’s only Ice Skating Rink

Home to the Gore Grizzlies, our own Homegrown Ice Hockey team, Social and Competitive Curling and a long history of champion Figure Skaters. Ice Sports Southland is open to the public with Public Sessions most weekends and school holidays offering fun for the whole family and friends.

Help your kids become confident skaters from a young age with Kiwiskate lessons or Cubs Ice Hockey learners starting from as young as 3. We have an assortment of skating aids, seals and penguins to help make the learning experience more enjoyable.

Come along and have a go on the ice, and talk to our friendly staff and volunteers about the next steps if you or your child is interested in taking up:

No need to book for public sessions just show up to the Multisports Complex and pay at reception. Price includes skate hire.
